They are audio encoding/decoding technologies for Mind Machines. Both employ low level, high frequency audio to directly control the lights. AudioStrobe® includes one signal per audio channel, while SpectraStrobe™ employs 4, in order to control RGB.
Sessions from SpectraStrobe™ take advantage of the latest encoding type for sessions contained in files. Even if SpectraStrobe™ does not allow changing the color preset, this extension is considered more technologically advanced. It doesn’t mean the AudioStrobe® or KSB sessions are weaker though, they just play differently.
