Are Mind Machines safe? Do they have any side effects?
There is a certain category of people who should not use a Mind Machine, namely epileptics, those with high photosensitivity. After a session, your brainwaves will immediately return to their normal state. 99,9% of the people will find the experience very enjoyable and it certainly will not hurt nor damage your eyes.What is AudioStrobeĀ® and SpectraStrobeā¢?
They are audio encoding/decoding technologies for Mind Machines. Both employ low level, high frequency audio to directly control the lights. AudioStrobeĀ® includes one signal per audio channel, while SpectraStrobeā¢ employs 4, in order to control RGB. Sessions from SpectraStrobeā¢ take advantage of the latest encoding type for sessions contained in files. Even if SpectraStrobeā¢ does not allow changing the color preset, this extension is considered more technologically advanced. It doesn't mean the AudioStrobeĀ® or KSB sessions are weaker though, they just play differently.How long do the batteries last?
From all the tests we performed on the Kasina the battery seems to last for about 30 medium length sessions. Kasina is known for it's long battery life - but it really depends on what you play, the length of the session and the intensity of the light.
The Kasinaās battery makes this portable Mind System the perfect travel companion - as you can take it with you on a trip without having to worry about charging it.
As for the Limina mind machine, the battery life depends on the AA batteries you have for it, with similar power spending. If you're out of juice, simply switch the batteries with new ones or recharge any AA rechargeable batteries and you're ready to go.
The lights stopped flashing properly – what happened?
You may have accidentally toggled the decoder mode into the ColorOrgan mode by pressing the top control button during a session. You may however want to toggle different ColorSets when playing non-SpectraStrobe sessions by pressing the bottom control button.Can I use Mind Machines in the morning or in the evening?
You can use the Mind Machines any time you like. If you want to relax and sleep well, choose from the low frequency sessions like Night Voyage just before going to bed. If you want to be more active or concentrate, choose something like Accelerate or the sessions meant to sharpen your focus. Read the included manual that describes what each session is generally geared for and what kind of mood they aim to instill.What’s the difference between Red and Near InfraRed light?
The wavelength of Red light(RED) is around 660nm while Near-InfraRed light (NIR) is around 850nm and is invisible to the human eye.
Both RED and NIR light helps promote cellular growth and healing but the main difference between them is how far they can penetrate through tissue. Red Light goes skin-deep while NIR can even reach the bone.
Whatās the difference between Kasina and Limina?
The most obvious difference is the price, Limina being more cost efficient. Limina only requires a couple of AA batteries(not included) in order to work. The display of the devices also differs, the Limina has a monochrome LCD while the Kasina features a Color LCD.
Limina has a fixed internal memory, with plenty of space for you to add new sessions, but does not feature a built in MP3/WAV player, which means that added sessions must be encoded as KSB files.
Limina plays the AudioStrobe and SpectraStrobe encoded files by connecting your AUX patch cable to the jack of your phone. For flawless signal we recommend using the USB - PC cable.
Iāve tried a Mind Machine session but nothing happened. Am I doing something wrong?
Mind Machines work best when the person using them is willing to work with the device, instead of expecting it to do all the job for them. But just as every person is different so will each session be unique to you.
Every experience is subjective, it depends on your mood and state of mind before you begin, on whether or not you have the necessary quiet to really enjoy a session.

Generally speaking, weād recommend coming back to a session a few more times until your mind gets used to the pattern of the pulsing lights. By doing that you'll become more accustomed to following and understanding the pattern subconsciously. With a tiny amount of discipline it will start having the desired effect. And you will most likely start to discover yourself better.
Have patience with it and yourself and set aside a little bit of uninterrupted time.
